Call for Papers: Cardiovascular Disease in Women
Cardiovascular disease in women remains underexplored. The detection and treatment of cardiovascular disease and applications of medical and device therapies have been limited. There are significant differences in epidemiology, pathophysiology, risk factors and outcomes in women and clinical presentations that may be unique to women.
For its first focus issue, JACC: Case Reports will produce a special issue on this topic. In line with our commitment to advance scientific understanding and patient care, we will publish a uniquely themed issue to highlight this emerging theme in January 2020.
We welcome papers addressing the broad topic of “Cardiovascular Disease in Women” in the form of clinical cases, clinical case series, voices in cardiology. Other formats such as commentaries or perspectives will be considered if sufficiently rigorous and impactful.
